Watching The Sopranos

My wife and I just started watching The Sopranos. I was a bit too young when it first came out. When I say young, I was 19 in 1999 and a sophomore in college. But I certainly couldn't afford HBO, and I think watching TV like this - to truly appreciate Television (capital intended), and the writing, and the acting, just wasn't something that was on my radar back then - I was still taping Dawson's Creek on VHS in 1999. 

Watching TV, the way I do now, perhaps as many of us do now, as enthusiasts of Television, probably started with Dexter, Breaking Bad and Mad Men. This was around 2007 when we were just on the cusp of the new golden age of TV. I doubt I could have appreciated The Sopranos in 1999. But now? I'm on the edge of my seat.
